Ramadan Buffet 2017 List in KL & Selangor

This year, Ramadan will start on 27 May 2017 and run for 30 days until 24 June 2017. Here is a compilation of Ramadan Buffets in KL and Selangor, highlighting the special dishes offered, price and contact details for reservation. The list be will be in ascending order, from lowest to highest priced.

Ganga Cafe, Bangsar (27 May - 24 June 2017)


Highlights: Ganga's Ramadan Set features  Ganga Aloo Chat and Baigan Fritters (Eggplant) for starters, a generous serving of Vegetarian Briyani, Coconut Curry, Stir Fried Vegetables, Chana Masala and a Chapati on the side for mains and to end, one sweet dish for your dessert. It will also come with a selection of Mixed Nuts and Dates accompanied with a refreshing drink of Lime or Watermelon Juice. (Note: Photo is from previous visit to Ganga and not of the Ramadan Set)

Price: RM25 per set (available daily from 6.30pm to 7.30pm during the duration of Ramadan period except Sundays).

The Snug, Hotel Stripes KL (27 May - 23 June 2017)


Highlights: The festive spread will feature various traditional Malay cuisine, as well as specialties from their neighbourhood friends in the Kamunting neighborhood. Some of the specialties include Capitol Cafe's beef rendang, assam pedas, and gulai ayam, Abu's pasembor and mee rebus, MMZ's sup kambing, sup ayam and murtabak kambing, and Cowboy's mee mamak.

Highlights:  Over 138 authentic Malay delicacies prepared using traditional recipes from the past in a traditional village setting, ranging from appetizers to salads, soups, mains, desserts and snacks, all inspired by grandma's recipes. Some of the highlights include Gulai Daging dengan Nangka, Rendang Daging Tok, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak and Bubur Lambuk.

Highlights: Live action stalls featuring 13 types of Malaysian laksa, kambing panggang, murtabak raja, sup gearbox, rangka ayam goreng, rojak tonggek, umai udang, ayam Palembang, rendang tok, udang goreng jintan, keropok lekor and durian.

Highlights: A showcase of signature dishes representative of the 13 states in Malaysia as well as Middle Eastern specialties, such as Umai Sarawak, keropok lekor, kambing panggang, pajeri nenas berempah, murtabak, ikan bakar and shawarma.

Highlights: There will be 16 action stalls in total and over 150 break fast favorites on offer, focusing on Middle Eastern Arabic cuisine with camel meat being the main attraction. Check out the sup gearbox, udang masak pedas malinja, sambal sotong petai, ikan bakar, satay, murtabak, gulai kawah with short ribs, and durian.

Highlights: Over 100 varieties of Buka Puasa delights such as kerabu udang tradisi, kerabu ayam cincang daun pudina, Nasi Kukus Daun Pandan; Kambing Masak Kicap Berlada; Gulai Kawah Daging Tempatan Rebung Madu; Asam Pedas Tumis Ikan Tenggiri; Lemak Kuning Jantung Pisang Ikan Bilis and a fruit terrace showcasing durian and fresh coconut. Chef Wan will also be featuring his Buka Puasa specialties from 3 to 11 June 2017.
